Julia Relinque

Born in Madrid in 1933, Julia Relinque studied in the School of Fine Arts in San Fernando, as well as in the Eduardo Peña Academy.

Restless artist and determined researcher, she submerged in the search for new techniques, materials and mineral pigments… Her artistic career reflects different stages and styles: landscapes, portraits, concept art, impressionisms and the figurative art, with substantial dreamlike themes, which have granted her an important presence as a contemporary artist of the 20th century.

The Directorate of the Fine Arts acquired her drawing “The strange world of the memories” in the National Exhibition of the Fine Arts in 1972, for the Museum of Contemporary Art.

In 1995 she is awarded with Honored Membership from the Fraternity of Santísimo Cristo del Consuelo y María Santísima del Sacromonte. Her work is part of private collections in Canada, United States, France, Germany, Japan, Dominican Republic, Spain…
